Yesterday, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar slammed Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister Department, Senator T. Murugiah who is in charge of Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) for the latter's statement he made when he attended to YB Teresa Kok's complaint about the poor food quality when she was under ISA detention from 12th September to 19th September 2008.
Syed Hamid Albar behaved as if he is the Super Minister. Although focus should be placed on the abolishment of Internal Security Act (ISA), I applaud Senator T. Murugiah who overseas PCB to immediately look into the matter.
It has been a convention for Cabinet Ministers under Westminster System of not to interfere portfolio of other ministers. However, in this case, Syed Hamid should look at the larger issue and not fence off criticisms especially criticisms from his BN counterparts.
