Yes, it is in Saudi Arabia, a country which most of us would not think a women can be elected to be a local councillor, a country which many of us think does not have democracy, a country which many of us think women are always marginalised.
Yes, ask ourselves, in Malaysia, do we have local government election, let alone the first elected female councillor?
Yes, Saudi Arabia is an Islamic country, and yet they can have local government election, even a female candidate can be elected. Then why some Muslim political leader does not endorse the idea of reviving local government election. Are they most Islamic than those in Saudi Arabia?
Can they give us an answer?
