Lim Kit Siang announced that he will table a motion to cut the salary of Information Minister Datuk Zainuddin Maidin, who is known as Zam, by RM10 in censuring him for his ministerial failure to promote press freedom in Malaysia.
Zainuddin or Zam is also censured for sacking seven Minnal FM staffs. Minnal FM is a state-owned Tamil radio station and the sacked DJs are alleged to have supported the recent Hindraf rally.
