So, what the arrest about?

All six activists from the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih) detained earlier this afternoon at the Parliament car park have been released by the police - with an apology to boot.

This is what I read from Malaysiakini.com, it's an apology from the police.

Yes, an apology. Very rare, right? The police apologised, but for what? For taking people away unreasonably? For they know that they are dipping deeper and deeper into a deep sea or worngdoings and human rights abuse? For contempt of Parliament?

It is also ridiculous when the police released them at 4pm without taking any statement and being told that they are not going to be charged.

People are scolding that the police nowadays simply catch people with no reason or with very trivial reason.

So what is the arrest about?

Can the police be sued in court as this has caused disgrace not only to the arrested but also to Parliament as the Police was doing that right inside Parliament prescint (which is an act of contempt of Parliament)?

The Blackest Sunday was followed by a Blackest Monday when 30 Opposition leaders, NGOs & Protesters were taken in & so was the Hindraf leader P. Uthayakumar who was released on bail, rearrested and handcuffed ALL under IGP orders. And in Parliament, the Amendment Bill went through with the 2/3 majority to nil when the 16 MPs walk out in protest before the vote. The Memo (titled “Say No to the ‘Save Rashid’ Amendment to the Constitution”) was eventually handed over to Dr Wan Azizah who received it on behalf of a group of opposition members of Parliament. Meanwhile the Anwar Ibrhim was “delayed” at KLIA on his return as a “chop was needed” and not “held”
