Informers not confident with BN opposition

I took part in the debate on royal motion yesterday.

Surprisingly, the attendance of BN Assembly-persons was surprisingly high early afternoon yesterday. Opposition leader, Satim Diman, who is also Seri Serdang Assembly-person, debated the motion yesterday.

Overall speaking, his speech is much better than his predecessor, Khir Toyo, who was also the former Mentri Besar of Selangor.

However, I said that the points he raised are all old newspaper stories when I debated on the motion after him. I said that most of the points he raised were already raised by PR Assembly-persons before, especially the part on Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor or PKNS. Such points were raised by PAS Assembly-person for Hulu Kelang, Saari Sungib.

I told the House, that the informers who we met, do not believe in BN Assembly-persons. BN is still largely considered as bankrupt in term of integrity and informers and whistle-blowers are very much confident with backbenchers to raise such issues and demand quick remedies from the state government. In other words, they believe that backbenchers are more influential than the opposition to raise any issues and eventually push for remedies from the state government.

I feel sad as it is the responsibility of the opposition members to play such role, though backbenchers are bound to speak the truth and to speak out for the people. However, there are only a handful of BN assembly-persons doing so. It is your choice whether you want to keep these people in the House next election.
