Selangor to apply term limit in appointing local councillors

About three years ago, I proposed to the Selangor state government to apply term limit concept in the appointment of councillor in local councils (read here). I believe there are many capable candidates from the local level who can hold positions as councillors. Therefore we shouldn't keep a person in this position for a term too long.

I also propose to the state government that all candidates should be screened by the State Assembly Select Committee on Local Governments (JP-PBT).

I'm glad that the first proposal will now be considered by the state government (read here, here and here)
