Letter to MB to review methodology of appointing Alam flora contractors

Following PKR Petaling Jaya Municipal Council councilor A. Thiruvengaddam’s statement that the state government appoints Alam Flora's waste management contractors according quotas - 40 percent to PKR, 30 percent to PAS and 30 percent to DAP as reported in Malaysiakini.

DAP Selangor has been suggesting to the government to adopt an open-balloting system instead of recommending contractors based on political parties quota. Although A. Thiruvengaddam mentioned that DAP will be able to conduct the selection via open-balloting, it is the wish of the party that all other component parties of Pakatan Rakyat will be adopting similar system to promote culture of competency, accountability and transparency in the running of the state government.

I have sent a letter to Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim to express the DAP’s view on this matter yesterday.

Selection of credible contractors must be the top priority of the day. Of late, cleanliness in certain municipality in Subang Jaya, Sepang, Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor of which contractors are appointed via party quotas has dropped. (DAP was not involved in the selection process of contractors in these municipality).

I hope the State Government and other Pakatan Rakyat leaders could resolve this matter as soon as possible.

Very Sat

I feel cheated by DAP.

40%$$$30%$$$30%$$$

DAP should not accept this practices.

YB Ronnie Liu should resigned from EXCO post if he had issued any directives to 11 local municipal to "comply" with the "recommendations/suggestion" of 40%30%30%

If the PR or any of it component party would like to get rich. Then, set-up a "Special Vehicle" as their commercial entity to actively participate in business or commerce.

This is absolutely "OK" as the sub-entity of party have special objectives, organisation and reporting system!

BUT please, Please and PLEASE do not practising the proposed "transfomer system"
(Party Fund=State Money)

AND

Until the PR Selangor government offered a satisfactory answer to the public! Please do not call for any "Fund Raising Activities" anymore.

Thank you
