Hi Weng San, thanks for asking me. I just got connection, u know we can use
the internet during the curfew hours from 10pm to 4am. during the day time, the
internet is blocked. i guess they have to work also and have to see what's going
on outside, so i'm staying up and connecting. Oh my lots to tell. don't know
where to begin. i followed all the protests through out...the first few days
were peaceful and then the beatings came to the monks and bystanders and they
snached one of our journalists...detained him for nearly a week and now he is
released. I was at the scene when the japanese journalist was shot, we went to
hide in a lane close to that site and there was also one guy who was shot in the
hip, the bullet went through so my doctor friend took him in to the hospital and
this guy's gonna be ok. So, while we were still at the site, they announced the
warnings to the ppl to leave within 10 mins or get shot at! But u know, they
fired the first round without warnings and that's when the japanese got shot and
also a few others!!! i'm sure u've seen all on the news! i just saw u onlline,
i'll try to catch u online.
now these days, this past week things have been
very quiet. they really have tightened down the whole city, arrested over a
thousand ppl including monks. now they are checking and arresting ppl who have
been seen in the protests at nights, randomly. so i have to be real careful. if
u're using any of my conversation, don't use my name. i'll write to u soon
